That my buddy was showing me his new Corvette. It was super cool, but something seemed off...
Woke up, realized it was a mid engine configuration. Even my subconscious wants it.

That engine isn't even pointed in the right direction. The transmission would have to occupy the same territory as the driver's right shoulder. You'd think they would have at least tried to make it look convincing!
